As freelancer I now help shipowners to advise and assist them in a wide range of activities, such as;

-Compliance check of the regulations for inland navigation and seagoing vessels. 

-Hull and machinery examinations on board of Dry Cargo Vessels, Ro Ro Vessels, Bulk Carriers, Oil, Chemical and Gas carriers.

-Folow up the completion of new build vessels.

-Hull damage inspections and reporting

-QHSE management,

-Technical management.

-Finding solutions and development of improvements.

Experience was gained as employee;

-Seafaring engineer/gas engineer,

-Senior surveyor at Lloyd's Register,

 

As consultant:

-External advisor for the Flemish Inland Navigation Commission and ADN expert,

-Damage expert for the Wallon Authorities (SPW)

-QHSE and technical manager for the operation of LNG bunkervessels

-Nominated member for the Belgian Association of Maritime Technical Surveyors - BAMTES.
